Eligibility

Individuals who want to apply for the Subclass 836 visa must meet the following requirements:

● Be a carer:
○ Be willing and able to provide continuous and substantial support and care for the sponsoring individual
○ Completely understand the individual’s medical condition and care needs

● Have a sponsorship:
○ By an eligible sponsor
○ That is approved by the Australian authorities

● Be a past or present holder of any substantive visa (except Subclass 771)

● Meet the health requirements

● Meet the character requirements

Location when Applying

Individuals must already be in Australia when applying and when the authorities make their decision.
