Subclass 188B (Investor Stream) Provisional Visa
To apply for the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) Visa in the Investor Stream (Subclass 188), an individual must invest a minimum of AUD2.5 million in Australian investments that satisfy specific conditions and maintain business or investment activity in Australia.

The benefits of Subclass 188B (Investor Stream) include the freedom to:
- Conduct business and make investments in Australia
- Remain in Australia for a maximum of five years
- Bring along any eligible family members
- Apply for a Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) Visa (Subclass 888) Investor Stream, if eligible.
Eligibility
- Individuals must meet the following requirements to be able to apply for this visa:
- Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency
Be Invited to Apply
- Score a minimum of 65 points
- Be under 55 years old
- Own and manage business and personal assets and investments
- Have a genuine intention to live in the State or Territory in which the application was made for at least 2 years
- Have relevant experience
- Have functional English
- Meet the health requirements
- Meet the character requirements
Location when Applying
Individuals can be in or outside Australia when they apply for the visa.
Including Family
Individuals can include children and dependent children in the application. In addition, family members who are not moving to Australia are also required to meet the character requirements, and health requirements if necessary.
