The Aged Parent (Subclass 804) Visa is a permanent visa for any aged parent of a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen to reside in Australia.

Eligibility

Individuals must adhere to the following requirements to be eligible to apply for a Subclass 804 Visa:

  • Not have applied for or hold the Sponsored Parent (Temporary) (Subclass 870) Visa
  • Have a sponsor that is:

○ An eligible child over 18 years, or
○ An eligible relative or community organisation
○ Approved

  • Obtain an assurance of support
  • Be old enough to receive a pension in Australia
  • Meet the balance-of-family test
  • Meet the health requirements
  • Meet the character requirements
Location when Applying

Individuals must be in Australia when they are applying for this visa.

Members of the family unit can be included in the visa application.
